§ 4. Порядок слов: прилагательное + существительное

Word order: adjective + noun

 

1. Иногда мы используем в речи два или более прилагательных, например:

There was a beautiful large round wooden table in the kitchen.

Такие прилагательные как: new/large/round/wooden/young/hot являются фактическими прилагательными (fact adjectives). Они дают нам информацию о возрасте, размере, цвете и т.д. А такого рода прилагательные как: nice/beautiful/tasty/intelligent являются прилагательными мнения (opinion adjectives). В предложении прилагательные мнения должны стоять

перед фактическими прилагательными:

a nice sunny day

a delicious fruit salad

an intelligent young man

 

2. Фактические прилагательные располагаются в следующем порядке:
