Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and went on with Jesus into the high priest’s courtyard.	Simon Petrus aber folgte Jesus nach und ein anderer Jünger. Dieser Jünger war dem Hohenpriester bekannt und ging mit Jesus hinein in des Hohenpriesters Palast.

The other disciple (known to the high priest) went out and spoke to the doorkeeper, and brought Peter inside.	Petrus aber stand draußen vor der Tür. Da ging der andere Jünger, der dem Hohenpriester bekannt war, hinaus und redete mit der Türhüterin und führte Petrus hinein.

They then took Jesus from Caiaphas to the governor’s residence. It was early. The Jews did not enter the residence, so that they might eat the Passover.	Da führten sie Jesus von Kaiphas vor das Richthaus. Und es war frühe; und sie gingen nicht in das Richthaus, damit sie nicht unrein würden, sondern Ostern essen könnten.

As you have believed, it will be done for you.” His servant was healed in that hour.	Und Jesus sprach zu dem Hauptmann: Gehe hin; die geschehe, wie du geglaubt hast. Und sein Knecht ward gesund zu derselben Stunde.

15.	jah attaitok handau izos jah aflailot ija so heito; jah urrais jah andbahtida imma.	When he touched her hand, the fever disappeared. She arose and began serving.	Da ergriff er ihre Hand, und das Fieber verließ sie. Und sie stand auf und diente ihm.
16.	at andanahtja þan waurþanamma, atberun du imma daimonarjans managans, jah uswarp þans ahmans waurda jah allans þans ubil habandans gahailida,	In the evening they brought to him many who were demon-possessed. With a word he cast the spirits out, and healed all those who had various sicknesses. Jesus answered, “The foxes have dens and the birds have nests, but the Son of man does not have a place to rest his head.”	Jesus sagte zu ihm: Die Füchse haben Gruben, und die Vögel unter dem Him-mel haben Nester; aber des Menschen Sohn hat nicht, wo er sein Haupt hinlege.
21.	anþaruh pan siponje is qaþ du imma: frauja, uslaubei mis frumist galeiþan jah gafilhan attan meinana.	Another of his disciples said, “Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.”	Und ein anderer unter den Jüngern sprach zu ihm: Herr, erlaube mir, daß ich hingehe und zuvor meinen Vater begrabe.
22.	iþ Iesus qaþ du imma: laistei afar mis jah let þans dauþans (ga)filhan seinans dauþans.	Jesus replied, “ Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.“	Aber Jesus spricht zu ihm: Folge du mir und laß die Toten ihre Toten begraben!
23.	jah innatgaggandin imma in skip, afariddjedun imma siponjos is.	He stepped into a boat and his disciples followed,	Und er trat in das Schiff, und seine Jünger folgten ihm.
24.	jah sai, wegs mikils warþ in marein, swaswe þata skip gahuliþ wairþan fram wegim; iþ is saisleþ.	and behold! A great storm arose on the lake, so that the boat was covered by the waves. However, Jesus was sleeping.	Und seine, da erhob sich ein großes Ungestüm im Meer, so daß auch das Schiff mit Wellen bedeckt ward. Und er schlief.
25.	jah duatgaggandans siponjos is urraisidedun ina qiþandans: frauja, nasei unsis, fraqistnam.	They went and awoke him, begging, “Lord, save us! We are going to we perish.”	Und die Jünger traten zu ihm und weckten ihn auf und sprachen: Herr, hilf uns, wir verderben!
26.	jah qaþ du im Iesus: aa faurhteiþ, leitil galaubjandans! þanuh urreisands gasok windam jah marein, jah warþ wis mikil.	He asked, “Why are you afraid? Your faith is weak.” He arose, and commanded the winds and the sea, and a great calm came.	Da sagte er zu ihnen: Ihr Kleingläubigen, warum seid ihr so furchtsam? Und stand auf und bedrohte den Wind und das Meer. Da ward es ganz stille.
27.	iþ þai mans sildaleikidedun qiþandans: aileiks ist sa, ei jah windos jah marei ufhausjand imma?	The men were astonished, saying, “What kind of man is this that even the winds and the sea obey him?”	Die Menschen aber verwunderten sich und sprachen: Was ist das für ein Mann, daß ihm Wind und Meer gehorsam sind?

28.	jah qimandin imma hindar marein in gauja Gairgaisaine, gamotidedun imma twai daimonarjos us hlaiwasnom rinnandans, sleidjai filu, swaswe ni mahta manna usleiþan þairh þana wig jainana.	After he landed and entered the Gadarene country, two demon-possessed men came out of a cemetery and met him. They were very ferocious, so that no one could pass that way.	Und er kam ans andere Ufer in die Gegend der Gadarener.Da liefen ihm entgegen zwei Besessene, die kamen aus den Grabhöhlen und waren sehr gefährlich, so daß niemand diese Straße gehen konnte.
29.	jah sai, hropidedun qiþandans: aa uns jah þus, Iesu, sunau gudis? qamt her faur mel balwjan unsis?	And behold! They cried out, saying, “What have we to do with you, Son of God? Have you come before the time to punish us?”	Und siehe, sie schrieen und sprachen: Was willst du von uns, du Sohn Gottes? Bist du hergekommen, uns zu qüalen, ehe denn es Zeit ist?
30.	wasuh þan fairra im hairda sweine managaize haldana.	Some distance away many pigs were feeding.	Er war aber ferne vonihnen eine große Herde Säue auf der Weide.
31.	iþ þo skohsla bedun ina qiþandans: jabai uswairpis uns, uslaubei uns galeiþan in þo hairda sweine.	The demons begged, “If you cast us out, send us into those pigs.”	Da baten ihn die bösen Geister und sprachen: Willst du uns austreiben, so laß uns in die Herde Säue fahren.
32.	jah qaþ du im: gaggiþ! iþ eis usgaggandans galiþun in hairda sweine; jah sai, run gawaurhtedun sis alla so hairda and driuson in marein jah gadauþnodedun in watnam.	He replied, “Go.” They entered the pigs, and behold! All the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and died in the waters.	Und er sprach: Fahret hin! Da fuhren sie aus und fuhren in die Säue. Und siehe, die ganze Herde stürzte sich den Abhang hinunter ins Meer und ersoffen im Wasser.
33.	iþ þai haldandans gaþlauhun jah galeiþandans gataihun in baurg all bi þans daimonarjans.	The herdsmen ran away and entered the city, where they told everything that had happened, and the things about the ones who had been demon-possessed.	Und die Hirten flohen und gingen hin in die Stadt und sagten das alles und wie es mit den Besessenen ergangen war.
34.	jah sai, alla so baurgs usiddja wiþra Iesu, jah gasaiaandans ina bedun ei uslipi hindar markos ize.	Behold! All the city went out to meet Jesus; they saw him, and requested that he leave their country.	Und siehe, da ging die ganze Stadt heraus Jesus entgegen. 16.	jah gairnida sad itan haurne, þoei matidedun sweina, jah manna imma ni gaf.	He longed to be fed some of the carob pods which the pigs were eating, and no one was giving him anything.	Und er begehrte, seinen Bauch zu füllen mit Trebern, die die Säue aßen: und niemand gab sie ihm.

When he came to himself, he said, “How many of my father’s hired hands have more than enough, but I am perishing here with starvation. 19.	ju þanaseiþs ni im wairþs ei haitaidau sunus þeins; gatawei mik swe ainana asnje þeinaze.	I am not longer worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired hands.”	Ich bin hinfort nicht mehr wert, daß ich dein Sohn heiße; mache mich zu einem deiner Tagelöhner!
20.	jah usstandands qam at attin seinamma, nauhþanuh þan fairra wisandan gasaa ina atta is jah infeinoda jah þragjands draus ana hals is jah kukida imma.	He arose and went to his father. While he was yet far away, his father saw him and his heart went out to him; he ran and embraced him warmly and kissed him tenderly.	Und er machte sich auf und kam zu seinem Vater. Da er aber noch ferne von dannen war, sah ihn sein Vater, und es jammerte ihn, lief und fiel ihm um seinen Hals und küßte ihn.
