1. Summarising 1+2.

What happened in the previous stories?

One day Clumsy was walking in the wood. Suddenly, he met a strange bird. It told him about the Great Changes and scared him. He ran to the squirrels but they were busy and didn’t want to chat. Sad Clumsy went away.

2. Dictation №2.

One little mole was very greedy and he didn’t like disheveled animals. He had a captivating voice. He always listened to amazing sounds that chestnuts made when he was playing with them. In his spare time he noticed that he wanted to chat with the squirrels. So he covered the place with some leaves and forgot about his store.

4. New words.

5. Listening + questions.

Questions:

Where was Clumsy?

What was he doing?

What was the cracking noise?

What hit him on the head?

Why did he decide to ask Mole-the-Claw?

Why was the mole angry?

What were the reasons to call the mole out?

Why was Clumsy so worried?

What did the mole hear?

What did they decide to do?

6. Strange things.

Strange things”.

Teacher: There was a strange thing while Clumsy was walking along the path past oak trees. What was it?

Student: He heard a cracking noise but he didn’t see anything.

Teacher: And what was unusual for the mole?

Student: The mole heard a cracking noise in the chestnut grove. He thinks someone was shaking the chestnut trees.

1. The cracking noise in the wood. Someone was dropping acorns.

2. The cracking noise in the chestnut grove. Someone was shaking the chestnuts.

Teacher: Why were acorns and nuts falling? Who was shaking the trees?

Student: May be the wind. In autumn they always fall on the ground.

7. Questions.

- Do you remember all those strange things that had happened to the little bear?

Н-р, cracking noise is the noise when acorns, chestnuts, nuts fall from the tree on the ground. They fall because it is autumn. A large shadow is a big cloud. In autumn it is usually cloudy and windy. The squirrels were busy, because they were preparing for winter as the mole did.

8. Reflection.

- Have you ever made a trap?

- What did you feel?

9. Homework. Read p.10. Read and listen to the song p.11.
