Baku İnternational Multiculturalism Centre launches the Summer School program “Multicultural Azerbaijan: learn, explore, share” for students, who are interested in developing and deepening their knowledge about Azerbaijani multiculturalism and sharing their experience with each other. Summer School program provides the great opportunity to explore new topics regarding to Azerbaijani multiculturalism and benefit from Azerbaijani experience to make a progress in this field in their country

What are the goals of the Summer school?

Drawing on an increasing interest in the study of one semester special course “Azerbaijani multiculturalism” at 7 (seven) various universities the Summer School "Multicultural Azerbaijan: learn explore, share" aims to bring together undergraduate and graduate students of those universities studying in this course. Along with the seminars on Azerbaijani history, language, ethnography, culture, the participants will be given the opportunity to experience the realities of Azerbaijan, so as, to travel Azerbaijani regions, in which they can explore traditions, different custom and traditions of different ethnic groups. In general, we can identify 3 goals of the course:

- To obtain knowledge about Azerbaijani ethnology, culture and history.

- To increase number of friends from all over the world and cooperate with them in the future

- To raise awareness about the course “Azerbaijani multiculturalism” not only in theory but also in practice.

What you will get from the Summer School?

While getting knowledge about Azerbaijan, students will get practical experience of some key points in studying Azerbaijani multiculturalism. Students are expected to share the experience which they have gained during the summer school among the students of their universities and other universities in the country. Besides, the course provides students with the unique opportunity to collect the materials, photos and information regarding to Azerbaijani history, culture and ethnography and use them not only in their further experiences but also in our future challenges for foreign students.

All participants will receive certificates at the end of the Summer school

Who can apply?

We look for mature, academically motivated students who are willing to broaden their horizons, get familiarized with Azeri culture and learn from the experience of Azerbaijani multiculturalism.

Undergraduate and graduate students may apply. Participation in summer school is available for every student but the preference will be given to those who attended the course “Azerbaijani multiculturalism” which has been delivered at 7(seven) universities.
