The micro-processor is the main internal control for the reproducer. It receives inputs from these devices:

· Flight compartment PTT

· Attendant handset PTT

· Key switch and display

· Solid state stored voice (SSSV) memory

· Tape deck

· Dip switches.

PTT signals from the flight compartment and the attendant handsets will momentarily stop the reproducer. When PTT stops, the reproducer automatically starts.

The key switch and display supplies an operator interface to the micro-processor. It also receives outputs from the microprocessor for front panel light emitting diodes (LED).

The SSSV memory is an eraseable programmable read only memory (EPROM). It holds the announcement information for SSSV messages.

The tape deck holds the boarding music and the tape messages.

Dip switches control these devices:

· Switches S1-1 through S1-5 - SSSV message assignment

· Switch S1-6 - Peeper ON-OFF

· Switches S2-1 through S2-3 - Emergency annunciator cycle set

· Switches S2-5 through S2-6 - Electronic lock.

The SSSV message assignment switches set the discrete announcements that the announcement/boarding music reproducer holds.

The peeper switch turns ON or turns OFF a tone the operators hear when they push the key switches on the announcement/boarding music reproducer front panel.

The emergency annunciator (сигнализатор)cycle switches set the number of times an emergency announcement operates.

The electronic lock switches set the code that opens the door on the announcement/boarding music reproducer.

The announcement/boarding music reproducer supplies PTT and audio signals to the PA amplifier.

The announcement/boarding music reproducer also supplies a PTT signal to the passenger entertainment system (PES) during announcements. This momentarily stops its operation.

Crew Announcements

Crew announcements are made from these locations:

· Flight compartment

· Flight attendant stations.
