The very talented Anna Webber was the makeup artist for this shoot. We had met a few weeks earlier to talk about doing some beauty shots to update her book as well as add to mine. Studio shots in general was still very new to me, so i was interested in experiencing more by experimenting with different lighting setups. Katia, from Mode Models, is one of the most experienced models I’ve worked with. Her eyes tell stories. Her facial expressions can make a grown man weak in the knees. She moves her hands so gracefully. Her demeanor is high-class with a sprinkle of friendly and easygoing. Anywho…..here’s the final shot.

Blasted the off-white wall with a strobe directly behind the model to make the background white. I had a strip softbox camera left for highlights. Key light was a strobe about 9 feet high shooting into a silver reflected umbrella, shooting down onto the model. Under the model, just below the frame, there was a 4×4 ft silver reflector for catchlights.
