Criteria of Assessment
| Mark
| The materials collected in the portfolio reveal great progress and systematic work on the part of a student. The student is able to plan his/ her language learning process independently (sets the aim in doing each course; defines the objectives and the steps he/ she has to undertake; assesses the results he/ she gets). The student can use different sources of information and integrate knowledge from various subject areas for achieving his/ her aims. The quality of the academic work done is high and meets the curriculum requirements. The materials collected display the student’s creativity. The student’s average mark for different aspects in the portfolio is higher than 4,3.
|
| The materials collected in the portfolio reveal some progress on the part of a student who is able to organize his/ her own independent work rather well according to the aim defined, though he/ she experiences some difficulties in keeping to the plan and assessing the results and welcomes the help of a teacher. The student can use additional information for classes when asked but never shows initiative in mastering his/ her language skills and speech habits. The quality of the academic work done is good and in general meets the curriculum requirements. The student’s average mark for different aspects in the portfolio is about 3,5 – 4,2.
|
| The quality of the materials collected in the portfolio is rather poor and displays little progress on the part of a student due to lack of independent work on a regular basis. On the whole the student’s knowledge meets the curriculum requirements. The student’s average mark for different aspects in the portfolio is about 2,8 – 3,4.
|
| A student fails to collect his/ her language portfolio and meet the curriculum requirements in one or more subjects.
The student’s average mark for different aspects in the portfolio is about 1,9 – 2,7.
The student’s average mark for different aspects in the portfolio is about 1,0 – 1,8.
The student’s average mark for different aspects in the portfolio is lower than 1,0.
