  12. ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT

The goal of CSR is to embrace responsibility for the company's actions and encourage a positive impact through its activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere who may also be considered as stakeholders.
In meeting customer’s needs every product should be of high quality, working conditionals should be clean, operate and safe and moreover, employers must respect the dignity and recognize the merit of each other.
CSR proves that businesses are getting along better with environmentalists. Nowadays many companies acknowledge environmental problems and try doing something (for example, planting trees or drive hybrid vehicles) to offset emissions and negative impacts on nature.

6. What is important when negotiating someone from another culture?
Nowadays, businesses are searching for suppliers and customers on a global level. The global business environment requires managers to approach the negotiation process from the global business person's point of view.
Unfortunately, knowledge of foreign languages is not enough to solve the problem. Nations tend to have a national character and understanding cultural differences is necessary in order to perform successfully in inter-cultural communication
It is very important to know the commonest basic components of our counterparty's culture. It's a sign of respect and a way to build trust that can help us to choose the right strategies and tactics during the negotiation.
Verbal and non-verbal communication is the key factor of persuasion. The way we express our needs and feelings can determine the way the other side perceives us
Punctuality may be an important aspect of negotiation. In countries such as China or Japan, being late would be taken as an insult. Don’t be late to meetings.
All in all, the most important aspect while negotiating with someone from another culture is respect. Respect your partner and you will make the greatest deal ever.

7. Corporate culture: unwritten rules and work fun
Every culture and organization has its unwritten rules. These rules are probably the single most influential factor on the work environment and employee's happiness.
In many businesses, an unwritten rule states that working long hours is more important than achieving results. In one medium-sized company, the boss never leaves the office until it is dark. Outside in the car park, he checks to see who is still working and whose office windows are dark. Staff who risk leaving earlier now leave their office lights on all night.
The boss is always right, even when he's wrong;
if you're not at your desk, you're not working;
female employees, ethic minorities and people at their retirement age are not promoted;
the customer is a king. Often nobody really knows where these unwritten rules came from, but new recruits pick them up very quickly.
The word is out that employees who enjoy their jobs work more effectively and are more productive. Having fun at work can help morally, reduce stress, improve staff retention, mean less sick days and increase team building and team spirit. Fun at work gives people a chance to have some fun together, make management style more humane, and as another way to show people that you care about them.
