Friendship

Friendship is very important for me. We all need friends. Even in big cities with many people around, you feel lonely if you have no personal friends. In my opinion a real friend is a person whom you trust and respect, who is ‘’a friend in need’’ and who never lets you down.

I`d like to tell you about my best friend. Her name is Nina. She is my schoolmate. We made friends when we went on a school trip to Minsk. Nina is a tall girl with dark hair and green eyes. She has an oval face and a straight nose.

But what is more important for me is her character. She is intelligent and patient. Nina is a good listener, an understanding and friendly person. She is reliable and never lets you down.

My friend is good at Maths and Physics. She is fond of sports and she also likes dancing.

We see each other quite often. If we finish school at the same time, we go home together and discuss the things that have taken place at school that day.

I`m happy to have such a friend and I think our friendship will last long.

Family

Everything has its beginning in the family. Family is very important for every person, because it gives you a sense of stability and tradition, a feeling of having support and understanding. In happy families people are gentle, respectful and loving.

My family consists of my father, my mother and me.

My father´s name is Ivan Petrovich. He is 40, but he looks powerful and impressive. He is tall with dark hair and brown eyes and is of a strong built. He is a director of a large plant. He is very busy but he always finds time to talk with me about school and my interests.

My mother´s name is Larisa Ivanovna. She is an economist. My mother is a quiet, patient and charming person. She is very kind and caring.

We are getting along all right and I think we are a united family. We have some family traditions. We like to celebrate national holidays and the birthdays of each members of the family, give presents to each other on the New Year day and on some other special occasions. It´s also our family tradition to spend summer holidays together at the seaside or in the country.

I enjoy the honest and open relationship in my family. I like it when parents trust their children, give them freedom and respect them. I am happy to have such a wonderful family.

My future career

I am leaving school soon and I am thinking about possible careers and jobs. And it´s true that one of the most difficult things when you leave school is deciding on the sort of job you want to do. Some pupils choose their future professions under the influence of their parents and friends whose advice they find useful and valuable.

In my opinion the final choice should depend on what you are most interested in. For me interesting and creative work is the most important thing. I want to enjoy my work and get satisfaction from it. And if it´s well-paid at the same time then it looks more attractive. When choosing a career you should ask yourself a question if you are suitable for it and if you have certain qualities needed for the job. So it´s necessary to think about all pros and cons to choose the profession you want. But if you have finally made your choice you should do everything to achieve your goal.

I have chosen the profession of a teacher. Teaching is a very specific and responsible job. This profession demands from a teacher constant creativity, understanding of children and love for them.
